Amiga’s Operación Fallida

Posted on October 7, 2023 - October 7, 2023 by Rumblefish

Operación Fallida is truly an original great game as nowadays you may see a few out there. You play as a soldier from the Union of Socialist Republics patrolling a remote mountain territory. While patrolling, you discover an abandoned Nazi bunker from World War II that was used for experiments with alien technology.

As you explore the bunker, you encounter enemies such as zombies, Nazi super soldiers, and other creatures from space.

The game has two levels: the bunker and the alien spaceship. You must search for hidden panels throughout the map to open different sections of the bunker.

The game was developed using the Backbone tool and the graphics were created with the Deluxe Paint V program.

The game’s development was an interesting story. The game was not originally intended to be released on the Amiga platform. The developer was asked to create tiles for a game that was on hold for the Megadrive platform. After creating the tiles, the developer was told that they would not be used. Feeling disappointed, the developer decided to use the tiles to create their own game, which they called “Operación Fallida.” The game was completed in record time and was presented at the Party Amiguera Posadas 2022, where it won first place in the video game category for Commodore Amiga.

The game’s cover art features a bleeding hand of a Nazi Zombie, which is meant to invite players to play the game. The protagonist being a Russian soldier, the cover art has a Soviet propaganda feel to it. The game is a bit spooky but has great graphics and references to classic arcade games from the 80s and 90s.

Overall, “Operación Fallida” is an interesting and cool game with a unique story and gameplay for a 16 bit machine.

The game’s development story is a testament to the hard work and dedication of game developers.

The game’s graphics are impressive, and the references to classic arcade games make it a fun experience for players.

To when Operación Fallida 2 – Return to The Base? :-)
