Cannon Fodder 3 and recent Electronic Arts release Syndicate have a lot in common.
The game’s story is not very engaging. It revolves around military powers from different parts of the world coming together to establish a new world order. The objective is to eliminate terrorists using a large number of low-ranking soldiers.
The game takes place in various locations, including sunny North American spots, snowy Soviet bases, and even Outer Space. Each level offers different weather effects and a day and night cycle, ensuring a fresh look and feel. In terms of visuals, the game has a simple yet effective style.
The action is viewed from an isometric viewpoint, with added detail compared to the original games.
The graphics have a cartoonish style that is visually appealing, and each level is filled with vibrant colors, reflecting the game’s lighthearted tone rather than the grim realities of war.
There are also impressive visual effects, such as enemy soldiers bursting open in a spectacular and bloody manner, and terrorist bases and battleships crumbling and exploding under the power of advanced weaponry.
However, there are occasional texture issues, and the characters, enemies, and civilians may appear too slight, making it difficult to follow the action during intense battles.
