NorseWorld is a Remake of classical roguelike game Ragnarok (Valhalla). Game plot is based on scandinavian mythology and sagas. Graphical interface: tile-based graphics + additional ASCII version. Other novelties: multiplayer and isometric view.
The current version of “NorseWorld: Ragnarok”: 0.10.0 (from 28.12.2014). 1. To start the game needs Java Runtime (JRE). Link: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html. Need to agree to the license and download jre-8u25-windows-i586.exe or jre-8u25-windows-x64.exe. 2. Link to download the distributions: http://sourceforge.net/projects/norseworld/files/v0.10.0/. At the moment, there are two variants distribution (Windows x86 and x64). 3. Also has game’s soundpak. To use – unpack in the game folder and place next to the folder languages. 4. To start the game using start.bat, in which the path to the JRE is write tough, and on some computers path may be different. If the game will not start, you need to replace him to a path discovered in “Program Files\Java\” folder “jre…”. 5. When you first start the game, the default language is always English. Also there are Russian, switching – in settings. Restart is not required. 6. In the event of any errors or strange behavior of the game, send me a mail log-file and any description of the problem. Or on the forum. Find the log-file can be in the game folder, file name “Ragnarok.log”.
