Amiga’s Storm Master

Storm Master was released by French company Silmarils in far 1991/1992. It’s basically a strategy-action mix with an adventure feeling and a fantasy environment: its originality lies in being one of the first games to combine these genres featuring a semi-3D battle mode.

Storm Master is a real-time strategy game that puts you in control of a tribe of people who must survive in a harsh environment. The game has a good level of complexity, with a lot of different elements to manage, such as resources, buildings, and units.

The game’s graphics are quite good for the time, with detailed sprites and backgrounds that are pleasing to the eye. The game’s sound effects and music are also well-done, adding to the overall atmosphere of the game.

One of the game’s flaws is its steep learning curve, which may be off-putting to some players. Additionally, the game’s interface can be confusing at times, making it difficult to manage all the different elements of the game. The game’s AI can also be quite challenging, which may be frustrating for some players.

##############Curiosities
– The game was developed by the same team behind the popular game “The Settlers”
– The game’s manual is quite extensive, with a lot of information about the game’s mechanics and strategies
– The game’s box art features a striking image of a lightning bolt striking a tower

Overall, Storm Master is a solid real-time strategy game that offers a good level of complexity and a unique setting.

The game’s graphics and sound effects are well-done, adding to the overall atmosphere of the game.

However, the game’s steep learning curve and confusing interface may be off-putting to some players.
