Syndicate is an isometric real-time tactical and strategic game from Bullfrog Productions created in 1993, and released for a variety of platforms beginning with the PC and Commodore Amiga.

It is the first title in the Syndicate series. The game is set in a dystopian future in which corporations have replaced governments, and the player is in control of a corporation vying for global dominance.

The game was later re-released in 2015 for free on Electronic Arts’ Origin platform. An expansion pack named Syndicate: American Revolt was subsequently released in 1993.

Players can manipulate the world using the chip and enact horrors upon enemies’ chips, making them kill themselves, shoot their comrades, or drop to the ground, stunned. The game’s co-op mode is where it shines, with a scoring system, unlock tree with more options than the single-player campaign, and replayability.

The bonus disk for Syndicate was called American Revolt. It was released in 1993 for Amiga and DOS and featured new missions, weapons, and even introduced multiplayer gameplay.

Syndicate Code Mack has been another name for American Revolt, and it was essentially the same as American Revolt minus the airstrike.

In Syndicate Revolt, you have to submit North, Central, and South America back to the Syndicate government.

We still play it, and there are some extremely hardcore cyberpunk levels that are difficult to explain to those who haven’t played it.

If you are a fan of the first Syndicate, then American Revolt is a must, especially the last mission where you will have to use all the techniques acquired to “persuade” the last piece of the puzzle to give up to the Corporation.

At the game’s opening, the player-controlled syndicate (called EuroCorp) is at the peak of its power, a megacorporation controlling the world through a combination of military and economic power, and technological mind control, using the CHIP implant technology they developed. Viral damage to the global network causes disruption to Syndicate coordinations, with individual stations isolating themselves to avoid receiving rogue communication. The London station, as the headquarters of the EuroCorp syndicate, attempts to regain authority via direct intervention by the game’s signature quartets of heavily armed agents.
