Colossus

Megastyle is known as a C64 demo and game developer group based in Norway.
In Colossus, players face a colossal nightmare beast that has descended onto Earth. The player’s only tools for survival are an acid suit and an electric zapper. The objective is to courageously jump into the beast’s mouth and destroy its eyes and heart. After accomplishing this, the player must return to the mouth to exit. The game is noted for its retro appeal and is controlled via Joystick in Port 2, with the fire button used to start the game and the ‘M’ key to display the map during gameplay.
The game was made in 72 hours for the Mini Jam #144, which is indicative of the time-constrained development often seen in game jams where developers create a game from scratch in a limited time.
