<Border Blast 3 is a C64 game by Alf Yngve, considered as one of the leading innovators when it comes to getting the most out of the Shoot’Em Up Construction Kit (SEUCK).
Yngve released the game Border Wars back in 1989, which was followed up with a sequel, Border Blast 2, in 1992. Twenty five years later, Yngve decided it was time to revisit his Border franchise with his submission into the SEUCK Game Creation Compo 2016, Border Blast 3.
Border Blast 3 is set in the year 2060 where the World has been in peace for twenty five years following the United States great border war with China.
However, a new powerful tyrant has risen out from the shadows of calm to build an army that has taken control and recommissioned the force fields, forbidding anyone from coming in or out of the United States, effectively imprisoning its population. Well the USA is not one to sit back and allow itself to be dictated to in this way so the President has called out for help from the Air Force and you have taken it upon yourself to step in to take on this new generation of enemy forces, bring peace back to the world and free your beloved United States from the prison it helped create.

GORF:
Gorf is an arcade game released in 1981 by Midway Mfg., whose name was advertised as an acronym for “Galactic Orbiting Robot Force”. It is a multiple-mission fixed shooter with five distinct modes of play, essentially making it five games in one. It is well known for its use of synthesized speech, a new feature at the time.
Gorf’s most notable feature is its robotic synthesised speech, powered by the Votrax speech chip. One of the first games to allow the player to buy additional lives before starting the game, Gorf allows the player to insert extra coins to buy up to seven starting lives.
