Pentagon Spectrum, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum clone made in the USSR by amateurs, is a rarity in the world of computer hardware.

#######Design

The Pentagon Spectrum was a clone of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128, and its PCB was copied all over the ex-USSR in 1991-1996, making it a widespread ZX Spectrum clone.

The name “Pentagon” derives from the shape of the original PCB (Pentagon 48), with a diagonal cut in one of the corners.

The computer’s design is similar to that of the ZX Spectrum, with a rubber keyboard and a compact size.

########Features

The Pentagon Spectrum is a home computer that runs on Sinclair BASIC and TR-DOS operating systems.

It has a CPU of КР1858ВМ1/3, Т34ВМ1, Z80A, B, H @ 3.5 MHz (7 MHz turbo mode) and a memory of 48 to 4096KB (depending on the model).

The computer’s graphics are 256×192, 384×304, 512×192 monochrome, and its sound is Beeper, Covox, UltraSound (depending on the model).

The computer is backward compatible with the ZX Spectrum 128.
