The original version was released for the Commodore Amiga, and was later ported to many other systems. The original Amiga release cost £35, an unheard of price for a video game in that era, but it did include a T-shirt in the box bearing a print of the box’s artwork.

Battle Squadron, released back in 1989 on the Amiga and the following year on the Sega Genesis, is a vertical scrolling shoot ‘em up. It’s pretty much a classic in gaming history, as it entered the gaming scene when graphics were just starting to get big and colorful – at least outside the arcade scene.
