Zombi is an action-adventure game developed and published by Ubisoft in 1986. The game was released for various platforms, including Commodore 64 and Amiga.
Gameplay
Zombi is a first-person action-adventure game that borrows heavily from the George A. Romero film Dawn of the Dead.
The player controls a team of four protagonists who explore a zombie-filled shopping mall, gunshops, escalators, and the articulated trucks used to block the entrances.
If a character’s health is depleted, he turns into a zombie, which then roams the room they died in. Zombies can be killed either by numerous body shots or a single shot to the head. Characters are named after the creators of the game.
Features
Zombi features an icon-driven interface that allows the player to interact with the environment and manage the inventory.
The game’s horror elements and challenging gameplay make it a unique experience that is worth checking out. The game’s graphics and sound effects are impressive for the time, with detailed environments and character models that are easy to navigate.

The Remake
This game was written in an attempt to figure out what technics were used in zx-spectrum version of the game, how big the code of this game could be in modern interpretation, in order to learn pygame functionality and test my skills in programming in python.
This is updated version of the game, including link to the source files. In this version there is no need to restart the game to start a new one. Save/Load features are working. Cart containers behaviour were fixed. And lots of other bugs where fixed as well.
